"SHINDIGS AT THE BARN"!

The Powder Mill Barn contra dance is Usually the Third or Fourth Sunday of each Month, October through May, from 7:00 - 10:00 PM, with a beginner workshop starting around 6:30 PM. Live Music. Each dance taught quickly by Ralph Sweet or other guest callers.

What IS contra dancing? Walking patterns in time to music - dancing with many different partners with other couples, using easy square dance figures like circles, lines, stars, chains - but NO LESSONS REQUIRED!

Have fun the first time you come! You don't have to bring a partner! Learn by doing! Casual dress (best no high heels, though).

Come try it! You can find contra dancing throughout the USA including Alaska and Hawaii, Canada, and other countries.
