CROSBY Bb Fife, long nickel ferrules somewhat
pitted,, cracks repaired, plays very easily up to D4. Note: This is
NOT a “Cloos-Crosby model” ; It’s an actual Walter
Crosby. Crosby was Geo. Cloos’s; master, when Cloos apprenticed
under him. Cloos eventually formed his own company in 1862. Judging
by the size and neatness of the letters, this is probably a later Crosby,
the earlier ones being stamped “CROSBY” with the letters
about twice the height, and in a straight line across. |

Bassoon, Buffet Crampon, Paris, could be 19th century, 19 key touches.
We did a lot of restoration on this
great instrument ut ran out of steam just as it was ready for new pads. Complete with bocal, set of new pads, 5 new reeds. It
wouldn’t take much for a good repair person to bring it up to playing condition.
